F.A.Q.

1. Where do I choose the proxy which I want Radiosure to connect?

Proxy settings are taken from standard Windows Internet Options. This options can be changed in Internet Explorer. Run Internet Explorer and choose Options -> Connection options in the menu.

2. How to record many stations simultaneously?

To record many stations simultaneously you can run many instances of RadioSure at the same time and record different stations.

3. There’s a setting under the recording options, but when I change it, it still records at the original bitrate. Is this a bug, or am I doing it wrong?

MP3 streams are always recorded with its original bitrate because there is no encoding performed at all. The stream is just written into the file as is. So, it is recored without any loss of quality. There is no reason to record it with higher bitrate because that doesn’t improve the quality.

4. Can you please make a MAC/Linux/Win-mobile/Symbian version?

No, sorry. I have no experience with these systems. But as others saying you can run it under WINE in linux.

5. How do I install the skin?

It’s very simple. If the skin is packaged with an installer – just run it and follow instructions. If it is packaged as archive, then you need to unpack it and copy into “Skins” folder which is located inside the application folder.

    Ok I changed the skin folder name to Standard.rsn and Sure opened with the new skin. But How about a better way of doing it within the options.

    Joe935 :
    I unziped “BlueHarc.rsn” into th skins folder. Now how do you change the skin? I can find nothing in options about setting the new skin.

    Open options and go to Advanced page.

    My Bad. I Looked at the Advanced tab and thought it had to do with sound settings.

    I also found out what the Radiosure.xml file does:
    It has a history of sites visited
    it saves the configuration of Radiosure
    It is where your favorites are stored.
    And to answer my own question, it should be backed up.

    Just installed a Linksys WRY54GS wireless router and I can not connect to this station:
    rtsp://uni5.cox.streamaudio.com/WSB_AM?SAT=6240d355b962b425d58da508287ccd89&ts=1169418132063&s=680&y=2007&m=1&d=21&hh=14&mm=22&ss=8
    Without the router the station works fine.
    Any Ideas on why it won’t work thry the router?

    The fact that Stations can not be deleted makes the program very cumbersome.
    I have deleted many of the stations using an editor but if not dont properly you wont see all the stations left in the”stations2.txt file

    Why do you need to delete them? Just search for a station you need. Add it to favorites and forget about the station list. ;)

    I just noticed that the url was not completed in my previous question so i broke it down to 4 seperate lines:
    rtsp://uni5.cox.streamaudio.com/WSB_AM?
    SAT=6240d355b962b425d58da508287ccd89&
    ts=1169418132063&s=680&y=2007&
    m=1&d=21&hh=14&mm=22&ss=8

    put them together to get it to work
    Thanks

    Thanks for the investment of time to create a fab program.
    Is there a way to back up the favorite stations file?
    Occasionally mine favs disappear requiring a rebuild.

    “I also found out what the Radiosure.xml file does:”

    When the program was installed I specified a different directory.. The program still insists on looking for the xml in the hidden directory ..\..\local settings\application data. Can we get the xml file in the same directory as the app?

    Sure would make backing up the favs a lot easier for.

    Just a thought, you understand.

    Best

    I found my RadioSure.xml file, but my favorites still will not save…. any thoughts?

    Also, the program does not remember the previous settings from when it was shut off before….

    I never had this problem before version 2.
