  1. I’m a long-time SCREAMER RADIO user. But I just downloaded your program and am now playing around with it. So far, so good, I must say. Interesting.

For whatever it’s worth, at least one thing I’ve noticed is that there is a granularity of adjustment possible in SCREAMER RADIO which isn’t possible in your product. You might want to put some of those capabilities on your “to do” list.

That said, your work really seems very nice. Very nice, indeed. Good job!

I did notice that it causes a lot of warning pop-ups in my “Hosts Intrusion Protection System” (HIPS) utility; and my anti-virus, based solely on a heuristic analysis, seemed to think that your uninstaller was infected with something. You might want to consider downloading and installing the COMODO INTERNET SECURITY suite onto your system, and then designing such that your product doesn’t “scare” Comodo quite so much. You could also contact Comodo and ask it to put your files into its database of safe stuff.

One thing that’s really important, though, if you’ll allow me to make a *VERY* strong suggestion which I hope you will take to heart…

Right now, you install into a sub-folder of the user’s local AppData folder.

    That’s very, very, very bad!!!

I know exactly why you chose that, and I’ve seen it before…

…but it’s just non-standard, and can be problematic on a whole bunch of levels.

Do what you want, of course, but I would most STRONGLY encourage you to change things so that your software installs into the “Program Files” folder, like pretty much all other well-behaved software does.

Thanks for your consideration. Keep up the good work.

    very high cpu usage under win7 rc1 — 70-80

No, it cannot be – just tested on my win7 rc1 – almost 0% CPU usage. Please check that you have latest drivers for your hardware, especially for your video card.

Hi Gregg. Thank you for such descriptive feedback!

Sorry, what do you mean under “a granularity of adjustment”. I think I don’t understand you.

I did notice that it causes a lot of warning pop-ups in my “Hosts Intrusion Protection System” (HIPS) utility; and my anti-virus, based solely on a heuristic analysis, seemed to think that your uninstaller was infected with something.

I’m really sorry, but I just have no time and capacity to contact with all antivirus and system protection producers.

Here you can check that RadioSure is absolutely clean: http://www.softpedia.com/progClean/Radio-Sure-Clean-121069.html

And of course it is clean only if you download it only from our site.

Right, the main reason is to allow people who don’t have administrative rights to install it. Of course you can change the folder, so I don’t see any problem with that.

The way it’s done is pretty standard – for instance Google Chrome is doing it in the same way.

  4. Nice program. But Linux port would be appreciated more. Or just make the sources open. :)

  5. Hello,

I have just discovered this software and I can say it is really cool.

But, it misses two important things in my opinion.
The possibility to filter radio from Country (or genre) in order to reduce choice and the possibility to sort Favorite radio (alphabetic order)

I hope it could be add in the next release.
Thanks a lot and have a nice day.

It’s already there. Just click on column header with right mouse button.

  7. Thank you very much for the information.
Just miss the possibility to sort Favorites but I can sort them into RadioSure.xml

And it would be nice if filters could be saved and restored when restart RadioSure.

    Have a nice day.

  8. Nice software – works really well for me who travels a lot (in China right now).
One feature which would be nice is an indication which station is operating and which is not. Maybe just a green or red dot before the station name. This would avoid a lot of clicking on station not operating “at this moment”. Particularly for travelers with many time zone differences this would be useful.

Thanks anyway for a good software which allows me to keep in contact with my home country when traveling in countries where the local radio and TV can not be understood (like here in China ;-)
    Happy days,
    Triozon

  9. Is there a way for the software to display the song that is playing ?

  10. Tom :
Is there a way for the software to display the song that is playing ?

Sure, just try another skin, which shows the song title.

Sure, just try another skin, which shows the song title.

Can you please give me an example (a free one preferably )

  12. Tom :

Hm… Actually the standard skin also shows the song title in the window title. But of couse it shows the title only if the station transmits that info.

  13. Today I suddenly lost all my saved favorite stations, then was not able to resave them. I have reinstalled the radio two times (2.0.872). Still no favorites and not able to save favorites.

  15. Nice radio player. I would like to have not only search field but more customizable filter by countries, genres etc.

  16. Nice to see it works fine on Windows 7 too. Excellent!!

  17. Love the program! Very simple and intuitive. Can’t wait to see this on my Windows Media Center (wink wink, nudge nudge, cough cough).
