Re: Guidelines to add stations?

Thank you for the hints, but there is no way to install these apps to my old 32bit iPhone 4s. It's too outdated, but it's still convenient with the apps being installed already. (I really need to update, for sure.) I like to use the phone to listen to radio stations I like with a sleep timer adjuste...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

unfortunately on apple devices, there are not many choices how to access webradio. You depend on apps, provided by the istore. Unfortunately radiosure isn't available there. You need to compromise. Vradio, which I rather prefer of these, cannot be installed on my very old iphone (so much about expen...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

In Radio?Sure! most BBC stations are working (not all!) and BBC World Service is working and double mentioned. One of the two works. Which devices do you mean, Antur? Right now the BBC streams work with Radio?Sure! True. That's because I fixed most of them as far as I understood this to my best con...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

Right now I'm wondering if fixing the BBC streams is futile in the long run. More and more "devices" get unsupported. Probably some, whose stream adresses appear to be available still. Even the BCC "World" Service gets moved into the bbc's own "sounds" web page only or will be available using...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

Hello Antur, Maybe you know this already: If you have Favourites (I always have 30), you can let them be synchronized with the database. Look for Settings>Advanced. Streams in Favourites will be automatically updated. If you switch this off, you have to update them yourself. But: chosen names are m...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

These stations got maintained by me. I decided to fix all in one big sweep. I frequently browse through the BBC local radios and like them to be consistent. The previous state wasn't satisfactory. Many stations weren't updated and had outdated links. Some links were wrong and confusing. (in particul...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

This link was inside the recent link list as the first one. Someone put it there. In VLC You can use the slider to jump around in the stream. But that appears to be somewhat random. There are 4 streams inside which last 6 hours. Probably they are the same, but hard to distinguish. Btw. there were so...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

There is a confusing stream which i found in the definition of BBC Radio 3. I kept it, but it appeared always to play something entirely different than the rest of the links. http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/mediaselector/5/select/version/2.0/mediaset/apple-ipad-hls/vpid/bbc_radio_three/format/pls in fact...

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

Btw:
I noticed all AAC streams are somewhat delayed and behind the mp3 streams.
Several seconds at least.
This also was a reason to pick the mp3, because they are slightly more "up to date" ;)

Re: Guidelines to add stations?

Only approvers take decisions that go to the database. then i wonder why they kept the dysfunctional stream from before in some of my fixes, which I didn't remove, but put at the last position. These always told, the stream wasn't available for "this device any more" and to contact provider ... Tho...
